Pet Memory Book

Description

This printable is designed for children to write in and add pictures about their favourite memories of their pet.

This book can be used whilst the pet is still alive, is nearing the end of life or if they have already passed away.

As a veterinary surgeon, I have seen many pets pass and also helped many to find their peace too. I am a firm believer of normalizing the planning and talking about the end of a pets life, since us humans often outlive one if not many of our beloved pets. I think it’s very important to include children in the discussion about the death of a pet.

There are 7 pages in this book, each prompting the child to reflect on their relationship with their pet. The final page prompts them to think about how they will feel when the time to say goodbye is here and how they might choose to celebrate their pets life.
